Yes, I believe that “The problem with black people is that if someone gets a little more than them, everybody jump on him saying he thinks he’s better and all”. The reason I believe this statement is true because African Americans will always hate on another. Just because one person has something everybody can’t afford, they want to hate on the person or rather steal their clothing. I believe us African American should stop all the hating and be more respectful of what other people has on. You don’t know what that person has been through just to get what he has on. That is why we are killing each other over expensive clothing such as North Face, Columbians, shoes, chains, money, cell phones, and even cars. We should reunite and help one another, not to just hate one another because that opponent has something other people can’t buy, but to give good compliments on what the person has on. “A Hope in The Unseen” can motivate the African Americans and I to rise above the fray and leave the haters behind because his peers in school hated that he was smart and getting money just because he was getting honor roll. That didn’t stop him from getting his grades or leaving the high school with a diploma. It encourages him to strive for the best and nothing beyond that. For example, Cedric was getting teased just because he was into his school work and he wasn’t into skipping school or doing anything those other students will do. Instead, he will stay after school for tutoring and do his homework. He was a fantastic student in a dangerous school “Ballou High School”. The person that was also motivating him to become somebody was his mother. His mother was always into his schoolwork and what he was doing in school. Every PTA she went to see how he was doing in school. Most black people don’t want to see the other children do better than life. They either want them dead or in prison. Most of us are either dead or in prison because they want to choose the wrong crowd that will lead them into trouble. As for Cedric, he has God, church, and his family beside him that led him into good choices.

In conclusion, black people need to come together and stop all the hatred and love one another. You don’t know how that person got what he is wearing or have. Most black males should follow Cedric path to success and everything will be fine. Killing one another for clothes or anything is not worth spending the rest of your life in jail. You could have just asked the person or your parents to buy you the same thing that person has or even better than he has. When people hate on you; you should just lift your head up and show then your better than that, and u want to achieve more in life than just being nothing in life. Cedric left all those clown people that were laughing at him behind him and just reach for his goals. Now he is in college while some of them are either locked up, dead, pregnant, or dropped out of school.
